The Bath Hot Air Balloon Club was established in 2023 by Jerry Davis, who has a genuine passion for hot air balloons. He began his journey with just one hot air balloon, G-cmab, which he learned to fly after obtaining his license. Three months later, he enhanced his hot air balloon adventure experience by expanding his collection with the purchase of G-cmex, an Ultragic M90 multi-colored balloon, which is now a key part of the hot air balloon equipment he uses for unforgettable hot air balloon flights.

From there, some land was purchased for two adjoining fields on the outskirts of Saltford, BS31 3JS, now known as Snake Meadows. This location is where the Bath Hot Air Balloon Club was established, offering thrilling hot air balloon adventures. The name 'Snake Meadows' was inspired by our G-SNKE balloon, an ultramagic M90 hot air balloon

In 2025, Jerry Davis and Adrian Connors approached the local Banes Council to seek a premises licence after a long battle with the local parish council. We successfully gained a premises license that allowed Snake Meadows to be used for summer festivals and events, including those hosted by the Bath Hot Air Balloon Club. This opened up exciting opportunities for the general public to join us for hot air balloon adventures, nightglows, and our very own summer festival, featuring breathtaking hot air balloon shows and the latest hot air balloon equipment for an unforgettable experience.

A Visit to the Wiltshire and Bath air Ambulance Headquarters

Today, some members of the team were fortunate enough to visit the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance station for a guided tour. The low winds provided us with the perfect opportunity to inflate G-CMEX for a photo shoot, showcasing our new sponsor banner alongside the Bath Hot Air Balloon Club.

The Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance is a charity dedicated to providing critical medical care via helicopter and car to individuals in Wiltshire and Bath. Funded entirely by public donations, its mission is to give patients the best possible chance of survival through the swift response of its critical care paramedics and doctors, ensuring they receive the necessary support—much like the excitement of a hot air balloon adventure.
